Grape Processing Automation
Primary Grape Processing Automation – Reception & Processing
Beciurile Domnești, Popești, Romania
1 project
The project involved the full automation of the primary grape processing flow, from raw material reception to the transfer of must into fermentation tanks. The scope included integration of destemming, crushing, pumping, and separation equipment, along with the installation of a dedicated PLC for controlling process sequences and monitoring operational parameters.
The system enables automatic configuration of feeding stages, adjustment of processing flow rates depending on grape type, control of pumps and valves, and includes an HMI interface that provides real-time visualization of the entire installation. Operators can centrally manage the technological process, ensuring safe operation, elimination of manual errors, and optimized energy consumption.
Automation resulted in increased processing capacity, consistent must quality, and improved traceability for each batch. The solution was designed to support future expansion and integration with fermentation and temperature control processes within the winery.
