Pasteurizer Automation 120 hl/h
PASTEURIZER AUTOMATION 120 HL/H
– SIEMENS PLC & HMI
Unitank Brewery
1 project
The project involved the full automation of a pasteurizer with a capacity of 120 hl/h, used for the thermal stabilization of beer prior to bottling. The technical solution included the integration of a Siemens PLC for precise control of temperatures, pressures, flow rates, and holding times across each section of the pasteurizer: preheating, holding zone, cooling, and energy recovery.
Installed sensors enable continuous monitoring of critical parameters, while control algorithms ensure the consistent maintenance of the thermal profile defined by the recipe. The HMI interface provides operators with access to detailed process flow visualizations, valve and pump statuses, temperature variation charts, as well as the ability to select and adjust pasteurization programs depending on the beer type.
The implemented automation system significantly improved process safety, reduced energy consumption through optimized heat exchange, and ensured uniform pasteurization, which is essential for the microbiological stability of the final product. Integration of the pasteurizer into the Unitank Brewery control infrastructure enables centralized monitoring, full traceability, and scalability toward a plant-wide SCADA system.
